Career

Alongside his academic medical career, he has developed a unique philosophical framework that integrates scientific knowledge, ethical theory, and human values. His work proposes that morality exists in two forms: intrinsic morality, which is biologically embedded within living cells, and extrinsic morality, which is shaped by social, cultural, and educational influences.

His philosophical perspective emphasizes that virtues such as compassion, forgiveness, and nonviolence are fundamental pillars for achieving global harmony. According to Baidya, the level of world peace is directly linked to the moral development of humanity, and ethical leadership can transform societies through compassion-driven and philanthropic actions.

Philosophy and Intellectual Contributions

Dr. Baidya’s philosophical research focuses on integrating medical science, moral philosophy, and universal ethical principles.

In his book Morality Beyond the Human Brain: Scientific and Philosophical Exploration, he introduces a mathematical framework explaining intrinsic morality. According to his theory, moral potential exists naturally in living organisms as part of evolutionary survival mechanisms.

In Morality Beyond the Human Brain – Part 2, he further expands on the relationship between innate morality and acquired morality, explaining how both contribute to human survival, development, and ethical progress.

In A Path to World Peace, he explores how human virtues can influence civilizations and promote lasting global peace. The work also discusses the idea of a universal ethical framework or universal religion that could serve as a foundation for sustainable peace worldwide.

Overall, his philosophical thesis suggests that morality is inherent in nature and guided by a broader cosmic or divine ethical order.
